In 1911, British explorer Robert Falcon Scott and Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen both aimed to be the first to reach the South Pole, the last unexplored continent on Earth. The race was on and it would end in victory for Amundsen – and tragedy for Scott. In a journey that stretched over 900 miles and took over 100 days, reaching the South Pole was one of the last frontiers in exploration.

Race to the Pole continues on this series of pieces following on from 11.22.63. Race to the Pole includes narration from composers Jonathan Daglish, Ella Roberts and Sophie Lloyd.
