‘Triple Threat!’ was written for the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama‘s ‘Soundbar’ concert series. The piece makes use of synthesizers created from field recordings in Bute Park, just by the Conservatoire. These synthesizers are then used throughout the piece, and formed the timbre, atmosphere and mood of the piece going forward. ‘Triple Threat!’ was made in 4-5 days – a good challenge! The name ‘Triple Threat!’ originates that I created 3 custom synthesisers for this project.
