One of the more developed bespoke instruments created over the past year is ‘Metal Tones’, a deep sampled Hapi Drum for Kontakt. This was a large endeavour, with most articulations including 3-4 dynamic layers and 5 individual mix positions that can all be automated and crossfaded. This was also the largest update to my Kontakt engine for bespoke private libraries, and this included a whole redesign of the interface, rhythmic gaters, granular synthesis engine, arpeggiators, FX grids and a wide range of behind the scenes functionality.
