March is part of a suite of pieces I have been writing following different parts of the year, capturing what I believe is at the core of each month. March is a colorful month, shrouded by the past of Winter. Trees begin to blossom, wildlife emerges once more, and there’s a crisp breeze in the air. This duet for clarinet and piano attempts to capture the positivity of March, ‘a new beginning’, but also reflecting on the uncertantity of winter. March was written for Hannah Findlater and Lizzie Bonsell.
